FIRST EDITION. VERY RARE. Francisco de Sá de Meneses (?-1664)’s only published work was this heroic poem prompted by our expansionist activity. Professing the Order of St. Dominic after the death of his wife, he brought a crusading spirit to this poem, with João de Barros’ narrative about the conquest of Malacca by Afonso de Albuquerque emerging in it.
