VERY RARE periodical publication exclusively dedicated to Camonian themes. Directed by Joaquim de Araújo, it relied on vast and erudite collaboration by the most distinguished Portuguese and foreign men of letters of the time, including Carolina Michaelis de Vasconcelos, Teófilo Braga, Wilhelm Storck, Xavier da Cunha, João Teixeira Soares, A. Fernandes Thomaz, Adolfo Coelho, Duque de Palmela, Oliveira Martins, Maxime Fourmont, Sousa Viterbo, among many others. The magazine compiles articles, some of them extending over several issues, on the most varied subjects related to the life and work of Camões, as well as notes on Camões' bibliography, articles on his work abroad, comments on the poet's texts, etc. It is illustrated with some engravings and portraits, including Camões, Morgado Mateus, a reproduction of the first edition of Rimas, etc. The edition was restricted to only 56 copies per subscription, making this publication one of the rarest of the passive bibliography related to Camões.
