Despite the fact that the first edition came out of the Parisian presses in 1842, according to Inocêncio, Rolland would be working on its edition at the same time, but that, for various circumstances, it only came out a year later. While the French edition was based on the original manuscript, Rolland used a copy provided by Mr. Baron of Vila Nova de Fozcoa, which he himself created in 1830. Rare and highly esteemed.
