Compilation of the most notable facts, historical and political news of the Portuguese monarchy, from its origins to the reign of D. José. According to Inocêncio, some of the notes made by the author are quite curious and difficult to find in other sources. Deals with: volume I from the origin of the Lusitanians to the reign of D. Diniz (year 1324). – Volume II of the reigns of D. Afonso IV and following until the Cardinal King (years 1325 to 1580). – Volume III of the Philippine dynasty, with information on the Dukes of Bragança, from D. Afonso to D. Teodosio II (years 1580 to 1640). – Volume IV of the reigns of D. João IV and D. Afonso VI (1640 to 1668). – Volume V of the reign of D. Pedro II and the beginning of that of D. João V (1668 to 1710). – Volumes VI and following up to IX are filled with facts and news from the reign of D. João V until his death in 1750. – Volumes XII to XVII continue with the reign of D. José I, reaching 1775. Rare .
