One of the most esteemed military treatises of the 18th century. Jacques de Chastenet was one of Louis XIV's main military advisors, having participated in numerous campaigns, particularly in Spain and Flanders, standing out, however, as a theorist. The work is illustrated with magnificent, superbly engraved fold-out engravings. Very rare and valuable.
